Thanks for your overwhelming response!

Since my plea last week, so many of you have donated to help fund the requests that are pouring in. These unsettled financial times have caught many local families in situations they can't handle alone.

Looking forward to sharing the essential needs you have met at our next gathering on the 18th at Naomi's. Details and map will be sent to you by e-mail soon.

Love,
Sandy

San Luis Obispo High Band Event

Subject: First Annual SLO Kitchen Tour

The SLO High School Band Boosters is putting on the "Be Our Guest" SLO Kitchen Tour,
Saturday - May 9 - 10:00 am to 3pm
Imagine a home tour with the focus on kitchens: design, materials, layout, and style. We found generous people who loved the idea of showing off their kitchens! Most of the kitchens open up to a patio or garden space where snacks will be served. This is what you will see:

· We have John and Debbie Spatafore’s downtown house (Garden and Pacific) with fabulous are and color in the kitchen. (You may have wondered what the inside of the house looks like if you have seen it from across the street at Dr. DeVincenzo’s office)!

· Pierre Rademaker’s meticulously restored 1920’s Craftsman home, with a very authentic vintage kitchen.

· A wonderful Warren Leopol d home, owned by the Irving family in Ferrini Heights, with a natural wood kitchen filled with light, outside access, and views. Feels like Big Sur.

· 1997 SLO High Grad Ben Kulick’s newly remodeled Monterey Heights home where everything is controlled by a computer. (It is a very minimalist, high tech kitchen. Men love this one!) His architect and his cabinet maker are his buddies from SLO High!

· A kitchen on Poinsettia in a cozy home where the owners have created a great atmosphere in a narrow space without views. Lots to learn here!

· And, a large, authentic country French-inspired kitchen in an impressive Varian Ranch home, where the dogs run in and out.

The tour is a Mother’s Day treat. $20 per ticket (che cks made out to SLOIMBA). The fund raiser will help the band with expenses relating to travel for competitions, and upkeep of uniforms and instruments, etc. (SLOIMBA is the San Luis Obispo Instrumental Music Booster’s Association).

Only 300 tickets will be sold.

Call Natalie at 235-6360.
