Camp Ocean Pines
If you are interested in donating money to help local families send their kids to an overnight camp at Camp Ocean Pines (www.campoceanpines.org) in Cambria, they need you. Janette Stoll works there p/t as their marketing coordinator and gets a lot of calls from local families asking for partial to full scholarships for camp. Camp Ocean Pines is already a nonprofit, so they don't have a bounty of funds. The director offers a significant discount to help certain families, but still, kids who have never experienced camp are turned away! The camp serves children in the age ranges of 8-15; perhaps you know someone who would like to attend?

The ORIGINAL Womenade
This is the website of the original Womenade on which we are based. I have written them for advice on the need to be an incorporated nonprofit.

Hearst Cancer Resource Center
I attended a presentation last night about the Hearst Cancer Resource
Center. The center has been open for one year and provides a multitude
of free services (nurse navigator, support programs, nutritional
coaching, alternative practices, social activities, resource library)
for cancer patients, survivors and their families.
I was so moved and impressed by the presentation that I want to let
everyone know about the center. I thought you could pass the
information along through your Womenade network. (The director would
also be a good speaker for Womenade or other groups.)
