March 3:  Gas cards for mother to drive to work, and clothes for her 2 sons (The children’s clothes were lost due to an eviction.).  Her husband is disabled and awaiting an SSI hearing, and the family is having difficulties paying for essential living expenses.  They live in a small trailer.  Referral:  Diana Goldman and delivery by Marcie Lindvall ($220.12)

March 7: Bunk bed for a family whose children have been sleeping on the floor since January.   When they moved to the trailer where they are living now, their bunk bed (which they had previously purchased at a yard sale) was stolen when they left it outside for a few hours to make preparations to bring it in the trailer.   Referral:  Andrea Blanco, Laguna Middle School, who also shopped with and delivered to the family ($419.70)

March 18:  Two months of water aerobics for a mom who is morbidly obese and has a 2 month deadline to lose 20 pounds so she can have gastric bypass surgery.
